1. Introduction

Welcome to North East Destination. By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and parties who interact with our services in any capacity.

North East Destination is a travel company registered in Guwahati, Assam, India. We operate under the laws of the Republic of India.

2. Booking Policy

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of the initial deposit and written confirmation from our team.

A minimum advance deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm a booking.
The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the start of the tour.
Full payment is required for bookings made within 7 days of the tour start date.
All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are subject to change without prior notice until confirmed.
Group bookings (8+ pax) may require special terms; please contact us directly.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is structured to be as fair as possible while covering the costs we incur on your behalf.

30+ days before tour: Full refund, less a 10% administrative fee.
15–29 days before tour: 50% of total tour cost refunded.
7–14 days before tour: 25% of total tour cost refunded.
Less than 7 days: No refund. The full amount is forfeited.
No refunds are provided for unused services (meals, transfers, accommodation nights) once the tour has commenced.
Cancellations due to natural disasters, government restrictions, or force majeure events will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. Amendments & Changes

North East Destination reserves the right to modify itineraries, routes, accommodation, or transport arrangements in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather, road conditions, or safety concerns.

We will endeavor to provide a suitable alternative of equal or greater value.
Any additional costs incurred due to client-initiated changes after confirmation are the client's responsibility.
Date changes requested more than 30 days before the tour are subject to availability at no extra charge. Closer to the date, a fee may apply.

5. Traveler Responsibilities

As a traveler, you agree to the following responsibilities:

You are responsible for ensuring you hold a valid passport, visa, and any necessary permits required for the tour.
You must inform us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or physical limitations at the time of booking.
You agree to comply with local laws, customs, and regulations throughout the tour.
Travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal belongings is strongly recommended and is the sole responsibility of the traveler to arrange.
Any behavior deemed disruptive, offensive, or illegal may result in removal from the tour without refund.

6. Limitation of Liability

North East Destination acts as an agent for hotels, transport providers, and other third-party service vendors. We are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense arising from the services provided by third parties.

We are not responsible for delays, accidents, or injuries caused by events beyond our control (force majeure).
Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the tour.
We are not responsible for personal belongings, theft, or damage to personal property during the tour.

7. Privacy & Data

We collect personal information only to process your booking and communicate with you. Your data will never be sold to third parties. By booking with us, you consent to our use of your information for these purposes. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Guwahati, Assam.
